Salary: £12.60 per hour (moving to £13.49 on rotating shifts) | Hours: 8am-4pm initially, moving to 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm | Days: Monday - Friday | Term: 3-Month Fixed Term

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Quality Control Laboratory Technician on a 3-month fixed-term contract at a site in Tenbury Wells. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual experienced in laboratory or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities
  • Analyse samples normally dealt with by the Laboratory, including internal checks and analysis of standards.
  • Decide the appropriate procedure for given analyses using chemical and physical-chemical techniques.
  • Maintain the highest standards of safety, hygiene, discipline, and performance in line with Laboratory Procedures.
  • Keep work areas clean and tidy, refill reagent bottles before they are empty, and prepare new reagent and standard solutions for instrumentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of work done and results obtained, reporting promptly to Management and highlighting unexpected features.
  • Monitor daily operation of instruments, making minor adjustments and reporting any issues to Management.

Desirable
  • Experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment.
  • A-levels in science or a degree in a related subject (desirable but not essential).
