Overview

As a Quality & Compliance Officer, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards across our employability programmes, including Individual Placement Support (IPS). This hybrid role involves some travel around the Essex area. Your impact: ensure operations run with precision and purpose, from audit to analysis, safeguarding integrity and driving continuous improvement across our services.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular audits across the IPS programme and other employability contracts to ensure compliance with funding, regulatory, and internal standards.
  • Work closely with delivery teams to uphold best practices in data integrity, documentation, and contract management.
  • Develop and refine compliance processes to support a culture of quality and accountability; promote and uphold data security, health & safety, and equality practices across the organisation.
  • Share guidance and collaborate: travel to deliver internal training to raise awareness and understanding of compliance frameworks across teams; provide clear feedback and action plans to help teams address areas for improvement.
  • Engage with key internal and external stakeholders to champion compliance and quality standards; collaborate with the Quality Manager to evolve frameworks and prepare for future audits and inspections.
  • Reporting, Insight: track and report on KPIs and contractual requirements; interpret compliance data to identify trends and development needs; produce detailed reports with actionable recommendations for continual improvement.

  • Driven and detail-oriented compliance professional with a passion for improving lives through high-quality service delivery; direct experience with the IPS programme or strong background in Employability services; solid foundation in quality assurance and contractual compliance.
  • Compliance knowledge: understanding contractual and regulatory frameworks in IPS, employability, welfare-to-work, or education.
  • Auditing experience: proven track record of conducting detailed audits and compliance checks.
  • Organised & analytical: able to interpret data, spot trends, and act with accuracy.
  • Influential & communicative: confident in delivering training and securing team buy-in to compliance goals.
