Quality Assurance Technician

Location: Wimbledon, London

Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum

Shift: Monday to Friday Flexible Start

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Lead engaging food handler inductions and refresher training sessions.
  • Welcome new starters with site tours, locker setups, and H&S training.
  • Keep our Quality Manual and Factory Procedures sharp and audit-ready.
  • Own and update technical documentation using digital systems.
  • Manage HACCP, CCPs, allergen controls, and process flows.
  • Conduct internal audits, validations, and verifications.
  • Stay ahead of legislative changes and update company policies.
  • Ensure traceability systems are watertight and records are complete.
  • Create and manage product labels for NPD and recipe changes.
  • Run weekly calibration checks and coordinate annual submissions.
  • Lead monthly audits for glass, hard plastic, and pest control.
  • Drive GMP audits and corrective action tracking.
  • Maintain supplier documentation and oversee annual reviews.
  • Manage cleaning schedules and chemical orders (Holchem).
  • Deliver COSHH and manual handling training.
  • Support CIC's training for machinery.
  • Conduct monthly H&S and task risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with engineering on equipment risk assessments.
  • Monitor daily paperwork and ensure compliance logs are complete.
  • Manage visitor/contractor documentation and raw material records.
  • Keep site standards high and continuously improve them.
  • Run monthly sensory evaluations and report findings.
  • Maintain finished product specs and support NPD updates.
  • Investigate customer complaints and complete supplier NCRs.
  • Handle customer portal requests for technical documentation.
  • Support staff training in HACCP, allergens, hygiene, and equipment use.
  • Submit and verify environmental and product microbiological testing.
  • Compile monthly technical reports and use Nutricalc for nutritional data.
  • Assist in packaging and goods-in areas during staff shortages.
