This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll oversee inspections, compliance, testing, and continuous improvement — ensuring every product meets regulatory requirements, company standards, and customer expectations.

Reporting directly to the Head of Technical & Training, you’ll work closely with multiple departments and manage an established PDI team.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Leading and managing the PDI department, ensuring efficient and consistent operations
  • Owning the New Product Introduction (NPI) process from a quality and compliance perspective
  • Conducting product testing and collaborating with manufacturers on R&D and product improvements
  • Managing CE marking and government approvals, ensuring full compliance
  • Carrying out regular batch testing to maintain quality standards
  • Providing technical input to sales, marketing, warranty, and supplier development teams
  • Supporting sales and marketing with technical advice, specifications, and product recommendations
  • Building strong working relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and product managers
  • Working closely with the Technical & Training department
  • Creating, updating, and maintaining RAMS for new and existing products
  • Developing and improving PDI processes and procedures
  • Inspecting returned parts and equipment in line with warranty processes
  • Managing quarantined stock and repair activities
  • Supporting the wider business with additional duties as required
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in quality, inspection, or technical management
  • Strong knowledge of a wide range of equipment (garage or industrial equipment preferred)
  • Ability to commute between Head Office (HX7) and NDC (CW4)
  • Experience working with or alongside a technical training function (desirable)
  • Exceptional attention to detail — a forensic approach to accuracy and quality
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally
  • Confident team leader with a proactive, problem‑solving mindset
What You’ll Get
  • Competitive Pension Plan
  • Life Assurance
  • Employee Assistance Programme (family cover included)
  • 25 days holiday (rising to 26 days after 5 years) plus bank holidays
  • Medicash health benefits
  • Company vehicle
