About the Role

The QA Engineer (Manual + Automation) will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of Overchain’s platform as we scale. This position blends hands‑on manual testing with automation engineering - applying sound judgement to test where it matters most, and building scalable automated coverage where it drives long‑term speed and quality.

You’ll work closely with product and engineering teams to detect issues passée early, improve test strategy, and strengthen our release confidence. A major part of the role is building and evolving our automation framework from the ground up - a high‑impact opportunity to set the standards for how quality is engineered across Overchain.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing across web platform flows to validate new features and prevent regressions;
• Design, build, and maintain automated tests across API and end‑to‑end journeys;
• Create and run load and performance tests to validate platform stability under peak conditions;
• Partner with engineers to improve testability, catch issues earlier in the lifecycle, and reduce production defects;
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent release quality and fast feedback loops;
• Triage defects, produce clear reproduction steps, and support efficient resolution across teams;
• Maintain pragmatic QA documentation - capturing what’s essential for quality and compliance without slowing delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in QA, with proven delivery experience across both manual and automated testing;
• Experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar;
• Solid understanding of API testing (e.g., Postman or equivalent) and endpoint validation practices;
• Experience with performance/load testing tools such as k6, JMeter, döw or similar;
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI,eel or similar);
• Confident using Git and collaborating in modern engineering workflows;
• Experience with Jira (or similar project management tools);
• Fluency in English with clear written and verbal communication.

Nice to Have

• Experience in fintech, payments, or other regulated environments;
• ISTQB certification
