Overview

Provide administrative and technical support to ensure compliance with client requirements, ISO standards, and project-specific procedures. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career within quality management on one of the UK's most complex and high-profile infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
  • Quality Administration & Support: Assist with the preparation, organisation, and maintenance of quality records and documentation. Support the control and filing of Lifetime Quality Records (LTQRs) in line with project requirements. Maintain registers for audits, inspections, and quality non-conformances.
  • Compliance & Assurance: Assist in monitoring compliance with VSL's Quality Management System and client specifications. Support preparation of evidence for internal, external, and client audits. Help ensure corrective and preventive actions are tracked and closed out effectively.
  • Coordination & Communication: Provide quality-related support to site teams, engineers, and subcontractors. Assist in communicating quality requirements across VSL's delivery teams and supply chain. Liaise with suppliers to obtain required documentation and certificates.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to quality performance reports and data analysis. Identify opportunities to improve processes and assist in embedding best practice. Support training and awareness activities to promote a strong quality culture.
Candidate Profile
  • Education & Experience: Previous experience in a quality-related role within construction, engineering, or infrastructure is desirable. Understanding of quality assurance principles and ISO 9001. Experience maintaining documentation and records in a structured environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and document management systems. Organised, methodical, and accurate in managing records and data. Awareness of nuclear quality standards (e.g., ISO 19443) is an advantage but not essential.
  • Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills. Proactive and willing to learn, with a positive and adaptable attitude. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
