Overview

Qualified Social Worker, Safeguarding Team
Pay rate up to £37 per hour
Contract role

We are recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to work in a Safeguarding Team in Haringey. A safeguarding social worker is responsible for protecting vulnerable individuals from abuse and neglect, coordinating safeguarding inquiries, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional social work service, including statutory responsibilities related to safeguarding adults at risk of abuse or neglect.
• Lead and coordinate multi-agency Section 42 safeguarding enquiries, ensuring a person-centred approach aligned with the Care Act and Making Safeguarding Personal principles.
• Create and review safeguarding adult protection plans, ensuring they are tailored to the needs and wishes of the individuals involved.
• Work closely with partner agencies, stakeholders, and other professionals to support positive outcomes and mitigate risks for vulnerable individuals.
• Effectively manage duty responsibilities and a caseload, keeping accurate records of work undertaken using social care electronic record systems.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other agencies to ensure a coordinated response to safeguarding concerns.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and supervision to improve practice standards and personal competencies.
