Job Title: Qualified Social Worker – Adults Older People’s Service

Salary: £35.00 per hour
Contract: Locum – Ongoing (Full-Time/Part-Time available)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Social Worker to join the Adults Older People’s Service in Bradford. You will work closely with the Advanced Practitioner and/or Team Manager, providing vital support that enables older people to remain independent, safe, and well within their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver effective social work practice in line with the Care Act 2014, Human Rights Act 1998, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and related frameworks
  • Handle complex cases with confidence, keeping the individual’s wishes central to decision-making
  • Promote creative support planning to encourage independence, positive risk-taking, and community-based support networks
  • Use relevant legislation to safeguard vulnerable adults, contributing to investigations and court proceedings where required
  • Take part in multi-disciplinary assessments and planning, advocating for ethical and rights-based practice
  • Mentor newly qualified staff and contribute to the growth of best practice within the team
  • Uphold equality, diversity, and anti-oppressive practices across all aspects of work
Qualifications & Experience
  • CQSW, CSS, DIPSW, or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Social Work (or equivalent)
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Post-qualifying award (BIA, AMHP, Practice Educator) – desirable or willingness to work towards
  • At least 2.5 years’ post-qualified experience in social work
