Job description

Are you a passionate and dedicated English teacher who wants to inspire a love of language and literature in young people? We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join our supportive and forward-thinking English department.

As part of our teaching team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education, supporting student progress, and contributing to the wider life of the school. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher, you'll receive the support, professional development, and resources you need to thrive.

You will:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons across Key Stages, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and achievement.

  • Plan, assess, and monitor pupil progress in line with school policies and national curriculum expectations.

  • Create a purposeful classroom environment with high-quality displays that celebrate learning.

  • Contribute to the development of schemes of learning and departmental initiatives.

  • Promote literacy, critical thinking, and creativity through an inclusive and inspiring approach.

  • Play an active role as a Form Tutor, supporting the academic and emotional wellbeing of your tutor group.

  • Participate in whole-school CPD, school events, and enrichment activities.
