Job summary

A leading childcare organization seeks a Nursery Practitioner to join their Bright Flex / Bank team in Caterham, Surrey. In this role, you'll engage children in educational activities and support necessary day-to-day tasks in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a relevant Early Years qualification and prior experience. Qualifications

Salary – £13.82 - £16.93 per hour (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

We’re looking for a flexible working practitioner to join our Bright Flex / Bank team at our Caterham The Laurels Nursery, situated Caterham, Surrey.

Our Caterham nursery is situated in a leafy residential area, directly opposite Town End Recreation Ground where we take the children in Summer. We have a parent drop-off zone and parking facilities for your convenience, and are a twenty minute walk from Caterham Station.

The Role

Working as part of our Bright Flex / Bank team, you can blend the convenience of bank/ agency work, with the security and benefits of being an employee – giving you the best of both worlds!

Within this role, you will support colleagues with their delivery of the EYFS through engaging children in entertaining and educational activities, encouraging their development towards key milestones. You will also work as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day-to-day tasks are completed, such as room tidying and preparation.

What we’re looking for

  • Full and relevant Level 2 or above Early Years qualification
  • Previous experience working with children – Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
  • Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable
