Job summary

An automotive service provider is seeking an experienced car and/or van technician to join their team in Egham. You will be responsible for maintaining customer vehicles, performing repairs and inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in vehicle repair, diagnostic experience, and a full UK driving license. This permanent position offers an opportunity to join a reputable team in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in carrying out diagnostic and service repairs.
  • Ability to identify worn and faulty components.
  • Current, full UK driving license for relevant vehicle classes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform major and minor repairs to Mercedes-Benz vans.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance services.
  • Maintain workshop inventory and cleanliness.
  • Work with repair teams to diagnose and plan repairs.
  • Record vehicles that have been repaired using Keyloop/Kerridge.
  • Complete documentation and escalate warranty claims as needed.
  • Carry out wheel alignment and tyre fitting.

Job description

My Automotive client are looking for an experienced and qualified car and/or van technician to join their team on a permanent basis.

It will be your role to keep their customer's vehicle's on the road via quality, safe and compliant maintenance.

Overview

Day to day you will be:

  • Performing major and minor repairs to Mercedes-Benz vans
  • Performing regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services
  • Maintaining inventory in the workshop and cleanliness from oil spills and dust
  • Working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for the vehicles.
  • Maintaining records of vehicles that have been repaired, using all appropriate modules of Keyloop/Kerridge
  • Completing relevant documentation and paperwork as required and providing warranty claims or escalating them to higher management.
  • Carry out wheel alignment and tyre fitting
Skills and Qualifications
  • You will need to be level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in PC/LCV Vehicle Repair and maintenance, plus, will have experience in carrying out diagnostic and service repairs.
  • You will have the ability to identify worn and faulty components in accordance with the DVSA Standards
  • Have a current, full UK driving license for the relevant vehicle classes.
