Job description

Job Title: QTS Tutor Maths & English (GCSE)

Location: Manchester

Pay Rate: £25 - £30 per hour

Job Type: Temporary | Part-Time | Flexible Hours (up to 20 hours per week, within school hours 9am - 3pm)

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned tuition in Maths and English up to GCSE level.
  • Plan and deliver personalized lessons that meet individual learning needs.
  • Support students with a range of abilities, including those with additional learning needs.
  • Monitor progress, set achievable targets, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive and motivating learning environment.
Requirements
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential.
  • Experience teaching Maths and/or English at secondary GCSE level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and ability to adapt lessons to different learners.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
Desired
  • Experience supporting students with SEN or SEMH needs.
  • Background in tutoring or delivering targeted interventions.
