Job summary

A leading technology solutions company in Cheltenham is seeking an experienced QHSE Manager. In this role, you will lead the quality, environment, and health & safety functions while promoting continuous improvement throughout the operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ISO standards and quality management within a manufacturing environment. Competitive salary of £50,000 - £55,000 plus benefits offered.

Overview

This leading designer and manufacturer of technology driven solutions are part of a larger group who are recognised for developing the leading products in their industry. They are now looking for an experienced QHSE Manager to lead their quality, environment and health & safety functions and drive continuous improvement across their Cheltenham headquarter site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a site-wide quality strategy, championing a "right time first" culture and working cross-functionally with Production, Engineering and Supply Chain.
  • Maintain and improve the QMS in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Lead on internal, external and customer audits.
  • Oversee strong document control and compliance across processes.
  • Monitor key quality metrics, lead root cause analyses and support the validation of new products and process changes.
  • Oversee environmental, OH&S management systems and coordinate risk assessments.
  • Promote Lean and Six Sigma methodology and lead on Kaizen events and cost of quality improvement projects.
Key Skills
  • Hold a degree in a relevant area (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality or similar).
  • Possess a demonstrable track record in a quality / health & safety role within manufacturing.
  • Have a deep understanding of ISO 9001 and be familiar with ISO 14001 and 45001.
  • Have previously held ownership of QMS processes and be skilled in quality analysis tools such as Minitab, SPC and ERP/QMS platforms.
  • Preferably hold a Six Sigma green or black belt certification and have experience as an ISO Lead Auditor.
  • Be a strong communicator, who is highly data-driven and analytical and committed to continuous improvement.
