We are looking for a QC Inspector to join our GT Aero team in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities
  • Perform bulk and detail strip inspections of gas turbines and provide comprehensive defect reports
  • Carry out stage inspections during engine builds to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Maintain and control workshop Control Order Files and associated documentation
  • Ensure all measuring equipment is calibrated, certified, and aligned with Quality Management System requirements
  • Assist with shipping and receipt of materials to and from approved vendors, expediting sub-con activities efficiently
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar inspection or mechanical quality role, ideally within a gas turbine environment
  • Proven ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and illustrated parts catalogues
  • Working knowledge of industrial or power gas turbines and associated components
  • A minimum of NC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; HNC is preferred (or suitable proven experience in lieu of formal qualifications)
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work collaboratively with workshop and quality teams
