Why You’ll Love This Role:

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you’ll be the go-to expert for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. From auditing production lines to supporting new product development, your work will directly impact the meals families enjoy every day. No two days will be the same—you’ll work closely with production, technical, and customer teams to deliver food you can truly be proud of.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Ensuring all products meet food safety, hygiene, and regulatory requirements (HACCP, allergens, labelling, etc.)
  • Monitoring production processes to guarantee consistency and top-quality standards
  • Carrying out site audits and training production staff on SOPs and hygiene practices
  • Overseeing supplier approvals, ingredient traceability, and non-conformance investigations
  • Keeping up-to-date with food regulations and ensuring packaging meets compliance standards
  • Supporting customers with technical queries and product-related concerns
  • Preparing weekly reports on key quality KPIs for senior management
Requirements:
  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field
  • Advanced HACCP and Food Safety Level 3 (or equivalent)
  • 1+ years’ experience in a Food Technologist or QA role (ready meals/cook-chill experience a bonus)
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, BRCGS)
  • A sharp eye for detail and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Confident communicator who thrives in cross-functional teamwork
