Overview

HR Smith Group of Companies designs and manufactures aerospace search and rescue equipment. Based at our production facility at Rotherwas, we are seeking a QA Inspector to join the team in the search and rescue production department to work with the quality and production staff, ensuring compliance to regulations and high quality standards through manufacturing.

Requisite capabilities

Previous QA experience is essential for this role with the ability to read and fully understand engineering drawings and good attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• To work with the chief inspector to ensure that all production assemblies and sub-assemblies are made in accordance with production documentation and drawings.
• Ensure all production paperwork is completed to the correct standard in the assembly and final dispatch areas.
• Carry out inspection of products at all stages of assembly including final quality checks.
• Log failure analysis onto PC for weekly review.
• Carry out inspection of product and paperwork in the final despatch area including creating Log Cards and Yellow Tags.
• Be fully aware of company standards and raise change notices as required.
• Ensure that production area is kept clean and tidy at all times.
• Carry out roaming inspection as required.

Employment details

• Full time position.
• Hours are based on a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm with half an hour for lunch.
• No weekend, evening or bank holiday working.
• Salary commensurate with experience.

• Due to the nature of the business being a manufacturing environment, working from home arrangements are not available.
