Job description

MCS Group is urgently seeking an Interim Finance Assistant for a key client based in West Belfast.

Immediate need.

Part Time (Min 3 days a week) & Fulltime Candidates considered!

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller the Interim Finance Assistant will:

Be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial documents including:

  • Accounts Payable
  • Invoice Query Resolution
  • Ensuring payments are appropriately authorised in line with Standard Operating Procedures
  • Banking reconciliations
  • Posting journals
  • Updating Excel spreadsheets
  • Filing and general administrative duties
  • Carry out reconciliation of accounts and maintenance of AP excel workbooks
  • Facilitate internal and external audits
  • To process payments and income in an efficient, effective, accurate and timely manner
  • Introduce efficiencies into the process

The Person:

  • Has some relevant experience working in a busy Finance department
  • Proven competency in complex Excel spreadsheets including analysis and management of large volumes of data
  • Experience in month end process
  • Accuracy, ability to plan, organise and work to deadlines
  • Using own initiative and judgement to make decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Computer literate and competent in the use of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
