Job description

Purchasing Administrator - Up to £30,000
Location: Leigh, WN7
Hours: Flexible, Monday to Friday (7:30-15:30 or 8:00-16:00)
Contract: Full-time, permanent

We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Administrator to support our plant operations. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining efficient material administration and supporting the smooth running of our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enter relevant information into internal systems to allow order handling to proceed
  • Raise purchase orders for specific material loads
  • Create transport orders for material movements
  • Book receipts of incoming material loads
  • Resolve invoice/order data issues liaising with central finance functions and external suppliers
  • Support overall stock management in line with group-level targets
  • Manage site expense purchases, collaborating with department leads to ensure appropriate stock levels including PPE and general operational consumables
Requirements:
  • Experience in purchasing, materials administration, or logistics
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and purchasing software
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
