An educational staffing agency is seeking candidates to support children or young people, especially those with behavioural, SEMH, or SEND needs in the United Kingdom. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in behaviour management and foster positive relationships with vulnerable pupils. Essential qualifications include a good understanding of safeguarding procedures and relevant educational support qualifications. Experience in alternative provisions or similar settings is preferred.
Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with behavioural, SEMH, or SEND needs.
Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with challenging or vulnerable pupils.
Resilience, patience, and a calm, reflective approach.
Good literacy and numeracy skills.
Understanding of safeguarding procedures and professional boundaries.
Experience in a PRU, alternative provision, or specialist SEND setting.
Training in Team Teach, MAPA, or other behaviour intervention methods.
Knowledge of trauma‑informed practice, restorative approaches, or therapeutic strategies.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 3 TA, Youth Work, Psychology, Counselling).
