Overview

At Honda we embrace inclusion in our policies. The role offers hours as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, with flexibility for when you work. Regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break, and 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday. Daily flex-time start is between 07:00 and 11:00, subject to business requirements. There is no contractual right to work from home, but you can request to work from home 2 days per week, again subject to business needs.

Role Reporting to the Publications Section Manager, this role is an opportunity to support the Honda customer experience through the provision of printed and digital Owners Manuals and other documentation. This role involves the entire process from receipt of master data from Japan, local adaptation, translation through to production and delivery to local logistics centres in the UK and across the European region. Several external agencies and internal customers’ activities need to be managed to ensure success in this role. To be successful in this role, you will need strong communication and analytical skills. You will be an innovator, capable of generating new ideas and identifying opportunities, and then carrying them through successfully against an agreed set of objectives.

Main Responsibilities
  • Management of translation and printing processes for the Motorcycle business.
  • Ensure accuracy of printed publications delivered to Branches and Honda Logistics Centres across Europe.
  • Management and provision of digital and interactive versions of publications on websites and other platforms for the Honda Motor Europe (HME) Region.
  • Management and negotiation with Translation and Printing Suppliers.
  • Communication with colleagues across Europe and Japan, including the publications division in Japan, Honda Branches and HME Sales in order to achieve challenging deadlines and budgets.
  • Identify and implement new opportunities for improvements in working practices.
  • Report preparation and analysis, collating data from multiple sources, using Excel and other tools to manipulate data into a usable format.
  • Drive project activity within the department to ensure smooth implementation of new initiatives/systems.
  • Accurately ensure that activities follow the defined Standard Operating Procedures.
Required – Qualifications, skills and experience
  • Proven ability to accurately analyse and manipulate large amounts of data to create clear and concise reports.
  • Capable of managing and prioritising conflicting requirements to achieve deadlines.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel, Teams and OneDrive.
  • Experience of SharePoint and/or ShareFile.
  • Fluent in Business English.
  • Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy without compromising productivity.
Desirable
  • Fluent in other European languages.
  • Experience of collaborating with others in diverse geographical locations.
  • An understanding of the European market and Honda’s dealer network.
