Making People Better

As a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP), you will play a vital role in our service. You will:

  • Assess the suitability of new referrals through telephone assessments.
  • Provide short-term, low-intensity interventions via telephone, online webinars, and computerised CBT (CCBT).
  • Work with colleagues at Steps 3 and 4 and external services to support safe onward referrals and step ups, while upholding patient dignity, confidentiality and inclusivity.

Getting to know You

Each PWP brings unique skills and experiences. You must have:

  • A Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) in Low Intensity Interventions (Adults).
  • BABCP or BPS registration or pending registration (discussion available before interview for returning practitioners).
  • Experience with people who have experienced a mental health problem.
  • An awareness of and commitment to diversity and inclusion.

We welcome applications from newly qualified PWPs and encourage those able to work locally within Basildon and Brentwood in a hybrid role. For those in the practice area, the HCAS Fringe Supplement is available. Remote-working applications will be considered without the HCAS Fringe Supplement.
