Serco is looking for a PSA Operative. The PSA is responsible to the Shift Supervisor for the efficient running of the Air Terminal. The PSA is required to provide all aspects of passenger pre-flight check-in, security, aircraft boarding, aircraft deplaning and post flight arrivals, whilst maintaining high levels of customer service and service excellence.,
- Take responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of yourself, your team, and any visitors, following all relevant laws and RAF Brize Norton safety procedures.
- Ensure your actions do not harm the environment and follow the Environmental Protection Act and RAF Brize Norton environmental guidelines.
- Treat everyone fairly and value different backgrounds, addressing any bullying, harassment, or discrimination quickly and firmly, and applying SERCO and RAF equality policies.
- Follow all data protection requirements and seek guidance from the Station Data Protection Officer when needed.
- Use the RAF Brize Norton Stress Management and Resilience Policy to support your team and help manage operational pressures.
- Maintain a high standard of dress and deportment, remembering you are working in a high-profile environment.
- Ensure that you are fully conversant with the Immigration regulations and documentation requirements for all UK, EU and non-EU National passengers. The regulations are to be strictly adhered to.
- You are responsible for producing, legible and accurate manual passenger manifests.
- Assist in the production of all pax related paperwork.
- The courteous reception and processing of all passengers and their documentation whilst departing, arriving, or transiting through RAF Brize Norton.
- The manning of the front passenger desk telephone 24/7, where possible, on a rotational basis throughout your shift cycle.
- Deal with all passenger inquiries with patience, understanding and a positive attitude.
- Ensure the Air Terminal is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene, including the Air Terminal surrounds and car park.
- Ensure that the VIP lounge is always kept immaculately clean and tidy. Lounge must be locked when not in use.
- Report all BAGLOS/TROBAGS to your SPSA and raise all necessary paperwork.
- You are to ensure that you always wear the correct PPE, i.e., Ear defenders, Hi-Viz vest/coat and protective footwear (this is not an exhaustive list). Serco uniform as mandated by the Passenger and Cargo Services Supervisor is deemed to be PPE.
- PSA employed in the Air Terminal are responsible, to the SPSA, for maintaining a close liaison with the following: - The duty ATLO. - ATSy. - DMO Compassionate Cell. - In theatre FMCCs. - JAMC at South Cerney. - Gateway House Hotel. - Brize Norton Transport. - Outside booking agencies. - The cleaning staff.
- Any other tasks detailed by the P&C SM
