We're Hiring: Proposals Engineer

Location: Office-based, with occasional travel

We are seeking a Proposals Engineer to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-quality technical and commercial proposals that align with both client expectations and our organisational capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit detailed technical and commercial proposals based on customer specifications
• Customise and configure UPS solutions to meet specific client needs and environments
• Provide pre-sales technical support to internal teams and customers
• Work with suppliers and third-party partners to source new components and technologies
• Collaborate with R&D to share customer feedback and support continuous product improvement
• Represent the company at trade shows, customer visits, and technical seminars
• Maintain detailed documentation of customer interactions, feedback, and solutions provided

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in sales engineering, technical sales, or a customer-facing engineering role
• HND or Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
• Hands-on experience with installation, product testing, or integration is desirable
• Previous work as an electrician or engineer in an industrial setting will also be considered

Skills and Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Commercial awareness and experience producing quotes and proposals
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of UPS industry standards, electrical protocols
• Awareness of defence and security sector requirements is an advantage

Working Conditions

• Primarily office-based
• Occasional travel to customer sites, trade shows, or training events
• May include hands-on work in technical or manufacturing environments
