Overview

Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Project Worker at our Homelessness Service, Cavendish Lodge, Ipswich. We specialise in delivering a wide range of personalised housing, care, and support services to help people across England to live as independently as possible. We’re a national organisation, not-for-profit and we put our customers at the heart of what we do. We’re committed to helping customers on their pathways for independence. This role is 37.5 hours per week with an hourly rate of £13.34.

We’re looking for a Project Worker to join our team at Cavendish Lodge in Ipswich.

Responsibilities
  • Providing support to encourage customers who have faced homelessness to maximise their own potential and independence
  • Being a first point of contact to receive and direct all customer queries
  • Supporting progress towards independence in managing positive mental health
  • Offering one-to-one support as required
  • Promoting safety by undertaking risk assessments and reviewing customers’ needs
  • Regularly assessing the needs of customers, writing, and updating support plans
  • Developing professional relationships with customers, using appropriate and clear communication to ensure their personal choice, privacy and dignity is maintained
  • Delivery of small group activities to promote recovery and well-being
Skills and Experience
  • Experience of working with adults who have experienced homelessness
  • Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong “can-do” attitude
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to react quickly to changing priorities whilst working to deadlines and targets
  • NVQ3 in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards is essential
