Overview

Position: Project Manager - Transformation

Location: Warwick (Hybrid - Approx 1 day per week on-site, occasional travel required)

Duration: 6-month initial contract (extensions likely)

Pay Rate: £500 per day (via Umbrella)

About the Role

We are working with a leading organisation in the UK energy sector on the delivery of the Regional Energy Strategic Plan (RESP), a major transformation programme shaping our clients planning functions and the way they operate - carried out across 11 regions of the UK!

The programme is entering implementation. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale delivery and manage the change activities that will transform ways of working across the organisation.

This is a people-centric project management role - while there will be touchpoints with IT and systems, the emphasis is on organisational change, business readiness, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Drive delivery of the RESP implementation phase through to 2027.
  • Manage large-scale organisational change, focusing on people, processes, and readiness.
  • Work closely with the PMO function to ensure aligned governance and delivery.
  • Build strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders, including regulators.
  • Provide clear reporting on progress, risks, and dependencies.
Qualifications
  • Strong track record of project management in complex, large-scale programmes.
  • Background in change management and business readiness.
  • People-centric approach with excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in the utilities or regulated industries (highly desirable).
  • Knowledge of PMO functions.
