Project Manager - Renewables

Six month initial contract role, based in London.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the construction phase of renewable energy projects, with a strong focus on Solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This role involves managing complex builds, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring successful delivery of projects that often include private wire connections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the construction and delivery of renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Manage contractors and site teams, driving progress against project schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies throughout the construction phase.
• Ensure grid connection requirements are met, including HV works and private wire arrangements.

Essential Experience:

• Proven track record in managing Solar and/or BESS projects through the construction phase.
• Experience with projects requiring HV (High Voltage) connections, transmission infrastructure, or DNO (Distribution Network Operator) engagement.
• Strong understanding of grid connection processes and private wire systems.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of NEC contracts and construction delivery frameworks.
• Familiarity with emerging renewable technologies and energy storage solutions.
