Overview

Project Manager - Grid Connections

Our client is a major European and UK solar energy contractor delivering a wide range of works around the continent. They are looking to recruit a specialist connections project manager on a salaried basis to oversee a range of 132kV connection schemes.

Responsibilities
  • Act in a leadership role, working closely with ICPs, DNOs and IDNOs to oversee HV connections of charging systems to the grid.
  • Work with supply chain and design teams to execute project milestones, to programme and budget.
Qualifications
  • Experienced project manager with extensive experience working for ICPs.
  • DNO / IDNO experience is essential.
  • Proven experience working on HV infrastructure up to 132kV.
  • Familiar with design processes and able to interpret design schematics.
  • Familiar with testing and commissioning processes.
  • Familiar with legal processes such as wayleaves, easements and land access.
  • Ideally degree qualified in electrical engineering.
  • Autonomous, professional and comfortable dealing with senior industry stakeholders.
  • Based in the UK and fully eligible to work in the UK.
Location

The position is a remote role with site visits as required. You can therefore be based anywhere in the UK but with the bulk of the sites being near Leicester it would be preferable to be based relatively near to Leicestershire.
