Project Manager – Factory Relocation & Fit-Out (10-Month FTC)

Salary:£72,000 pro-rata (DOE)

Location: UK

Start: Late February

Contract: 10-month Fixed-Term Contract

A well-established engineering and manufacturing organisation is undertaking a full relocation of its production and office operations. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning and delivery of a factory move, including coordination of specialist contractors and oversight of the full fit-out of a new facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project planning for the relocation of production, workshop, and office environments.
  • Supervise the main contractor delivering the detailed design, construction and fit-out works.
  • Coordinate specialist suppliers involved in machinery movement, precision equipment handling, transport and installation.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, and reporting.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to maintain operational continuity during the transition.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in factory relocation, plant moves, or industrial facility transition projects.
  • Practical exposure to machinery movement and precision equipment logistics.
  • Confident in supervising contractors and managing multi-disciplinary engineering projects.

Salary & Terms
