Can you be the driving force as our Construction Project Manager delivering one of our school project schemes in the West Sussex area. The project is valued at £60 million.
We require an experienced construction professional who is well versed in the delivery of a project from cradle to grave. With the ability to work as No1 on the project. This project embodies our commitment to sustainability and innovative design and we will be incorporating low carbon, sustainable materials and a concrete frame. We will also adopt an enhanced quality construction approach through consistent off-site manufacturing, to reduce waste and defects.
Job Purpose & Scope:
You will be solely responsible for the economic safe management of the site in respect of progress, workmanship, health, safety, environmental and quality standards by ensuring that adequate and proper labour, plant, materials and sub-contractor resources are available and adequately directed to meet the requirements of the contract.
You will have skills and experience in the following:
General Duties:
To be solely responsible for the Project, health, safety and the environment, as contained within the Health and Safety Management System. Where unsure and assistance is required liaise with the appointed Health and Safety Advisor.
To actively lead by example at all times ensuring that all working relationships with internal and external customers are consistent and to the highest standards.
To ensure that the company gets the best out of its subcontractors and suppliers, by proper selection and management in conjunction with the project team.
To work with the commercial and procurement teams to ensure proper protection of the company's financial and contractual position.
To ensure that for all activities you are responsible for, all company process/standards laid down in the Business Quality Management System are adhered to
To manage all disciplines, i.e. Surveying, Design Management, Buying, Planning, Human Resources, Health, Safety and Environment, to provide effective management of the project.
