This role sits within the Aftermarket Division, supporting upgrades, replacements and retrofit projects for international customers.

The Role

The Project Manager will lead the delivery of engineered aftermarket projects from order to installation. You will coordinate technical, commercial and delivery activities across engineering, drafting, purchasing, manufacturing, QC and logistics.

A strong technical background in engineered equipment is essential, along with the ability to manage scope, schedule, budget and client communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead full project lifecycle: planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management and delivery.
  • Coordinate engineering and drafting activities; ensure drawings, mark-ups and technical revisions are completed on time.
  • Review and support engineering documentation including P&IDs, valve assemblies, diagrams and equipment layouts.
  • Verify equipment selection, design calculations and scope of supply.
  • Manage all customer communication, technical queries and commercial correspondence.
  • Maintain project schedules in line with customer deadlines and manufacturing capacity.
  • Monitor project costs and manage change control with Sales and Estimating.
  • Support QC with ITPs, specification reviews and inspection requirements.
  • Produce project invoices and ensure all project documentation is accurate and up to date.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
  • 4+ years’ experience in project engineering or project management (engineering/manufacturing environment).
  • Strong mechanical and electrical understanding; capable of reading CAD drawings.
  • Experience coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams across engineering, manufacturing and QC.
  • Strong communication skills with customers and internal teams.
  • Competent with MS Project, Excel and Word.
  • Living within a 1‑hour commute of Stamford.
  • UK driving licence + willingness to travel worldwide.
Desirable
  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Prince2 qualification.
  • Oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery or combustion sector experience.
  • Experience producing plant layouts and electrical diagrams.
  • Site installation or commissioning exposure.
