We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join our team in Slough.

You will manage and deliver property-related projects within a social housing environment, including planned maintenance, refurbishments, compliance upgrades, and new development schemes. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required standards, with a strong focus on tenant satisfaction, safety, and value for money.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

Lead the delivery of a range of capital and maintenance projects across the housing stock, including:

  • Planned works (e.g. kitchens, bathrooms, roofing)
  • Void refurbishments
  • Compliance upgrades (fire safety, electrical, gas)
  • Decarbonisation or retrofit initiatives
  • New build or regeneration schemes (where applicable)
  • Manage project lifecycles from inception to completion, including:
  • Scoping and feasibility assessments
  • Preparing specifications and tender documents
  • Contractor procurement and appointment
  • Budget monitoring and cost control
  • Programme management and progress reporting
  • Quality assurance and snagging
  • Monitor contractor performance against KPIs, SLAs, and contract terms.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with statutory requirements, building regulations, and health & safety standards (e.g. CDM regulations).
  • Liaise with tenants and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and minimise disruption.
  • Report regularly to senior management on project status, risks, and financials.
  • Ensure records, documentation, and project files are maintained and auditable.
  • Support grant funding or regulatory reporting requirements, where applicable (e.g. SHDF, Net Zero).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Proven experience in project management within housing, construction, or property maintenance
  • Experience delivering planned works, refurbishments, or compliance-led projects
  • Strong knowledge of contract management and procurement processes
  • Understanding of housing legislation, building regulations, and health & safety requirements
  • Budget and financial management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under pressure
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Excel)
  • Full UK driving licence
