An educational institution is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Business Development team. The successful candidate will lead a team ensuring effective project delivery within set parameters and build relationships with stakeholders. Ideal applicants will have exceptional organisational and communication skills, alongside relevant project management experience, particularly in funded programmes. CVs will not be accepted.

Overview

Are you an experienced Project Manager, with amazing communication skills, outstanding organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail? New College Durham is seeking a dynamic Project Manager, to join our Business Development team. As the Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our projects deliver on time, on budget and meet the funding bodies requirements. The successful candidate will nurture and enhance relationships with existing and new employers, partners and stakeholders to identify skills and recruitment needs and employment opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • To lead a team of staff to ensure effective provision of Skills Bootcamps, Adult Education Budget (AEB), UK Share Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and future external funded projects.
  • To ensure all income targets, quality standards and contractual obligations for all projects are met.
  • To support the Director of External Funding and Projects delivery the departmental targets and contractual obligations in relation to existing and future funded programme for employer, employed and unemployed clients.
  • To manage the effective discharging of all contractual, financial, quality and staffing obligations to ensure full and effective service.
About you / Qualifications
  • Experience as a Project Manager with outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with employers, partners and stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Skills Bootcamps, AEB, UKSPF or similar funded programmes would be advantageous.
