Our client is a leading installer of heat pumps, solar PV systems, and other renewable energy solutions across the Southeast of England for both domestic and commercial clients. Due to significant success and growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the team and take full ownership of their commercial and high-value domestic renewable energy projects. This is a hands-on role where the successful candidate will drive project delivery excellence while helping to establish best practices across their entire project portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Lead commercial and high-value domestic heat pump, MVHR and solar PV installation projects from planning to completion.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality standards are maintained and work is progressing as planned.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets; identify critical paths and dependencies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (design, engineering, installation) and external stakeholders (clients, architects & builders, subcontractors)
  • Manage resource allocation to optimise team utilisation and project profitability.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues quickly to minimise impact on timelines and budgets.
  • Develop and implement standardised project management processes and tools to improve efficiency across all projects.
  • Monitor KPIs including profitability, timelines, resource utilisation, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel to sites across London and the Southeast
  • Relevant qualifications in project management (PMP, Prince2, etc.)
  • Proven track record (3+ years) managing renewable energy installation projects, ideally renewables or mechanical and electrical.
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and installation processes
  • Experience with commercial and/or high-value domestic projects
  • Excellent client management skills and ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to manage project budgets effectively.
  • Experience implementing or improving project management frameworks and processes.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills
