Qualifications

Our Company

Young Bros Civil Engineering is a well‑established, family‑run civil engineering company based in Pembrokeshire. We have over 100 years of civil engineering and construction experience, delivering multi‑million pound infrastructure schemes, primarily within the water industry. We currently employ over 50 members of staff to assist with the delivery of our civil engineering projects.

Project Manager

An exciting opportunity has opened at Young Bros for a Project Manager. This is a superb opportunity for an organised and proactive person to join our growing team.

The Role

Working from our head office in Llandissilio, Pembrokeshire and our sites across south‑west Wales, you will be an influential member of our project delivery team. Your typical responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with our clients to ensure the safe, timely and high‑quality delivery of our projects.
  • Developing and maintaining project programmes, complying with NEC ECC requirements.
  • Liaising with senior leaders to plan and coordinate the efficient utilisation of company resources.
  • Overseeing the procurement and performance of specialist sub‑contractors.
  • Working with our commercial team to ensure the timely submission of applications for payment, early warning notifications and compensation events.
  • Negotiating and agreeing quotations for additional work.
Essential Attributes, Qualifications & Skills
  • Prior experience in a project management role within the civils/utility sector.
  • Demonstrated strong collaborative working behaviours.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly the use of Microsoft Excel, Project and Word.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, self‑motivated.
  • Well‑spoken, with good use and presentation of the English language.
  • Excellent time management and punctual.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence.

A full‑time position with typical working hours Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5pm.
