Overview

Are you an experienced Project Estimator based in Northamptonshire with a construction background who thrives on variety? You will join a successful family-run business that works on projects ranging from grand historic restorations to commercial buildings and development in both private and public sectors. Location: Kettering.

Responsibilities

• Interpret architectural plans into accurate, actionable estimates.
• Support the company in winning new contracts by ensuring projects run on time and budgets are accurate.
• Collaborate with colleagues, sub‑contractors, Project Managers and suppliers to ensure the commercial aspect of the design meets real‑world practicality.
• Work with architectural drawings, surveyors, contractors and project specifications for domestic, commercial developments and historical restoration projects.

Person Specification

• Proven experience as a Project Estimator or Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
• Relevant estimator qualifications (e.g., degree or similar in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Civil Engineering).
• Experience bidding for and submitting tenders to private and public sector (GBP 200k – GBP 500k minimum).
• Experience in managing projects, working closely with architects, project managers, surveyors, engineers and clients.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Excel.
