Project Engineer

An opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to support the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects within a major long-term alliance. The role covers the full design lifecycle from feasibility through to construction support and technical handover ensuring all work meets client, statutory and NEC contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate design activities from concept through to construction issue, including reports, drawings and specifications.
  • Interpret client requirements, complete root-cause analysis and develop practical design solutions.
  • Work with planning teams to develop and review programme schedules.
  • Act as the main interface between clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal delivery teams.
  • Provide technical support during construction, managing RFIs, technical queries and constructability reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM duties, health and safety requirements, and internal quality standards.
  • Maintain project documentation, registers and design logs.
  • Support junior engineers and contribute to collaborative team delivery.
