Overview

Join Cencora to make a difference at the center of health. The Project Engineer is responsible for facility engineering project support, guiding the design, build, and improvement of Cencora’s distribution facilities and processes.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers and directors in developing and implementing material handling systems, operational processes, and new facilities or building renovations.
• Assist in the development of project charters and capital expenditure requests.
• Manage assigned project scope according to project charter guidelines.
• Coordinate activities with project director or senior project manager and other internal project teams to ensure alignment.
• Perform data analytics, develop design criteria, simulations, RFPs, vendor evaluations, AutoCAD 2D layouts, site coordination, construction oversight, testing, and issue resolution.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation including SOPs and design‑as‑built drawings.
• Provide objective engineering insight into operational and business process changes.
• Issue purchase orders per company policy and manage engagement with external consultants or vendors as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering.
• 3+ years of directly related and progressively responsible experience in engineering, logistics, supply chain, warehouse operations, or related fields.
• Experience with engineering tools such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Access, Word, simulation software (SIMIO or similar), and AutoCAD.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to collaborate within a team environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
