A leading food and beverage company is seeking a Project Engineer to drive the design and execution of capital investment projects at their UK facility. The role requires managing stakeholders and contractors while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Ideal candidates will possess a relevant engineering degree, with experience in FMCG environments and project management. This opportunity offers a salary of £50,000 - £55,000 plus various benefits including a pension scheme and flexible working options, promoting diversity and inclusion.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our team based at our Nestlé UK&I, Tutbury Factory. The Project Engineer will manage and design, install, commission capital investment projects on site and support the start‑up lead with the start‑up phase of the project, within the defined scope of responsibility or specialisation. Ensure that the objectives of the investment project charter, design specifications, Nestlé standards & international standards are implemented and adhered to.
At the concept stage you will engage with stakeholders, suppliers and technical support to agree a design that satisfies the technical, quality and safety standards of the business. You will prepare business case studies to present to the business for CAPEX funding.
At the installation stage you will coordinate daily and upcoming activities, managing contractors and suppliers, permitting work, visiting the site, ensuring site safety and install quality, while communicating progress, budget and timelines back to stakeholders.
To be successful in this role we expect you to ideally have experience working in a FMCG manufacturing environment. Having experience managing CAPEX projects is also essential. The ideal candidate will have ensured that the engineering side of projects—buildings, equipment installations, piping, utilities, etc.—have been implemented in accordance with the defined timing, cost and quality, the URS and characteristics of a unit operation.

Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 depending on experience, potential bonus, generous pension scheme, 12 flexible days on top of 25‑day holiday entitlement, 2 paid volunteering days and other fantastic benefits.
