Job description

White Label is working exclusively with an engineering/manufacturing business in the Halifax area that requires a Project Design Engineer to join their team.

My client is in a great position having won large contracts, so the order book is healthy.

You will be working closely with the project manager to ensure the project runs on time and budget. The role will be around 80% design and 20% project management tasks.

The day to day of the Project Design Engineer

• Designing, issuing manufacturing drawings, liaising with production and the customer, and compiling documentation.
• Outline engineering designs from inception to completion of schemes utilising in‑house resources.
• The timely completion of multiple concurrent projects within budget.
• Ascertain preliminary and detailed design requirements and solutions.
• Complete contract documentation.
• Co‑ordinate and liaise with suppliers, specialist sub‑contractors, in‑house functions, site installations and construction teams.

Experience required of the Project Design Engineer

• You will need to have experience with 3D CAD software.
• 2‑3 years of experience would be ideal, but the client can consider a recent graduate.

Package/Benefits

• A salary of £30,000 - £35,000 is on offer depending on experience.
