PROJECT CONSULTING MANAGER UK

The Project Consulting Manager is a senior engineering position within the Extron Business Development team.

It is a pre-sales and post-sales role. The role includes offering technical support to both new and existing Extron customers. This support includes creating system designs, training customers, presenting solutions, supporting projects, and offering any technical support as requested by Extron customers.

The role requires extensive travel and occasional overnight travel for longer-distance business trips, in the UK or occasionally outside the UK.

Main responsibilities:

  • Maintain close contact with all AV Consultants, M&E Consultants, and key End-users. Develop and maintain relationships in conjunction with other BD team members.
  • Proactively contact End-users, pre- and post-sales, on identified projects.
  • Support AV and M&E Consultants with project/tender requests.
  • Provide on-site technology and product demonstrations.
  • Conduct training on current and new Extron solutions.
  • Assist with complex customer designs and requests from leadership and engineering teams.
  • Verify equipment installation during system commissioning.
  • Develop relationships with Vertical Market Integrators outside standard channels, such as Government, Defence, Healthcare partners.
  • Perform onsite troubleshooting at end-user sites as requested.
  • Report market requests to the Product Development team for product improvements and system enhancements.
  • Support trade shows, exhibitions, and training events as needed.

Required Skillset:

  • Strong practical AV experience in system design, programming, and commissioning.
  • Experience in conducting technical training.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding presentation skills for various audience sizes.
  • Attention to detail, highly organized, and computer-literate.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hybrid office environment.
