OVERVIEW

We are on the look out for 2 Project Consultants to join one of the fastest-growing commercial furniture dealership in the UK, known for design-led projects and creating unique design schemes tailored to client needs.Responsible for creating detailed furniture schemes based on Designers’ or Clients’ briefs. This is a client-facing role requiring creative, solution-driven furniture specifying with strong knowledge of pricing, lead times, and full project considerations.Situated in Clerkenwell the team works in close collaboration with creatives and construction professionals, fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and friendly work environment.

  • Take detailed briefings and understand clients' project requirements.
  • Conduct furniture audits and site visits where required.
  • Possess established knowledge of the commercial furniture supply chain.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Manage time and resources to effectively respond to clients in a timely, professional manner (occasional out-of-hours work may be required).
  • Create detailed furniture quotations, including costs, finishes, and specifications.
  • Communicate with the supply chain on specification and project details.
  • Run projects autonomously within varying budget ranges between 20k - 500k.
  • Source imagery and content for document proposals.
  • Arrange samples, finishes, and timed showroom tours.
  • Communicate with clients on project updates and information.
  • Pitch to clients alongside the project team.
  • Create schedules to a professional commercial standard.
  • Manage project budgets; ensure all costs and margins are monitored.
  • Strive to meet clients’ budget expectations while maintaining strong profitability.
  • Exercise diligence and attention to detail when costing proposals to account for all potential costs and risks.
  • Confidently present and sell proposals to clients.
  • Keep CRM reporting up to date on a weekly basis.
  • Meet deadlines in line with the project programme.
  • Attend supplier training and industry events to maintain up-to-date knowledge.
  • Maintain presence in the office with Project team to ensure team alignment.
  • Manage company and project-related administration and processes.
  • Prepare handovers for Project Managers to deliver the project.
  • Be willing to work as a team and cover the Project Manager when required.
  • Represent the company at relevant industry events.
Requirements
  • Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and diligent note-taking.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time and resources effectively under shifting deadlines.
  • Experience in client-facing roles.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet specific deadlines.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the industry or a related sector.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general Office software.
  • Understanding of InDesign (or willingness to learn).
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong product knowledge.
  • Passion for interior and furniture design.
  • Salary of £35-45k negotiable.
