About the role

The Programme Manager: Hairdressing is responsible for the effective day-to-day leadership and delivery of our Hairdressing curriculum programme within Further Education (FE) at LCBT. They will ensure outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment, strong student outcomes, and compliance with internal and external quality assurance standards. The postholder will work collaboratively with teaching staff, support services, and industry partners to deliver high-quality and industry-relevant education that supports learners\' progress, achievement, and destinations.

This role focuses on operational excellence, curriculum management, learner experience, and supporting the delivery of key departmental performance indicators.

The Programme Manager will also carry a teaching load appropriate to their area.

About you

  • Qualifications: Teaching qualification and/or educational management experience and relevant degree or postgraduate qualification.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in teaching and curriculum leadership within FE, HE, or Apprenticeship provision, combined with educational management expertise, a proven track record of improving student outcomes, and a strong background in team management and staff development plus industry experience in Hairdressing.
  • Expertise: Strong understanding of hairdressing, quality frameworks, and performance improvement processes.
  • Passion: Driven by a passion for inclusive, industry-aligned education and committed to raising aspirations for all learners, with a proven ability to motivate and inspire outstanding teaching teams.

Salary:

Pro-rata from £38K per annum, subject to qualifications and experience
