Qualifications

  • Hold a Level 3 qualification in Construction and a Level 5 Teaching Qualification.
  • Demonstrate a strong record of teaching and learning practice.
  • Have experience designing and delivering FE programmes, ideally including City & Guilds and Pearson qualifications.
  • Be self-motivated with excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Show evidence of continuous professional development and industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver consistently high-quality teaching and assessment.

Status: Permanent, Full-time (37 hours/week)

Our Construction department plays a vital role in preparing students for careers in the built environment, with strong industry links and a commitment to excellence.

About the role As Programme Leader in Construction, you will shape the future of our construction curriculum and inspire the next generation of industry professionals. This leadership position involves overseeing programme delivery, ensuring high‑quality teaching and learning, and driving innovation across the curriculum area. You will lead on curriculum development, quality assurance and course management, ensuring compliance with awarding‑body requirements and alignment with industry standards. The role also includes mentoring and supporting Course Managers, building strong links with employers and stakeholders, and contributing to departmental growth through recruitment and engagement activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead curriculum development and ensure compliance with awarding‑body standards.

The successful candidate will
