Programme Leader – (Centre Manager)

Job type – Full time, Permanent | Salary – £31,242 – £33,655 per annum (temporary market supplement of £1,200 per annum) | Hours – 40 hours per week | Location – Leeds.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are seeking someone who is passionate about improving the lives and chances of young people who may have had multiple barriers to education in the past.

We need someone who will embrace a varied role, acting as the centre manager and being the leader of a small team.

We want someone who is excited about developing, improving, and nurturing their team to provide impactful teaching, learning and assessment.

What Will I Be Doing as a Programme Leader?

As the key on‑site manager of one of our centres, you will develop and maintain a safe and engaging learning environment whilst supporting your team to deliver high quality education to our students. You will line manage the teaching team and with support, may deliver some teaching yourself as part of the role. You will report to a head of curriculum and engagement and will work closely with them and other managers to bring about improvements and overcome day to day challenges.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Line management of a team of teachers and learning support colleagues.
  • Overall day‑day management of the centre.
  • Ensure that curriculum is delivered effectively and efficiently, working with central teams and other managers to raise standards.
  • Safeguarding including acting as a designated safeguarding lead in your centre.
  • Working with employers and others in the community to provide enhanced learning experiences for students.
Essential Requirements for this Role
  • GCSE 4/C English and maths or equivalent
  • Level 3 AET or equivalent / relevant teaching and learning related qualification
  • Knowledge and experience of quality and regulatory frameworks and practices
