Continental Shifts (4 On, 4 Off / Days & Nights)

We are looking for motivated Production Technicians to join a globally recognised manufacturing company in Telford. Reporting directly to the Production Manager you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of production within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team. The position will appeal to a strong technician looking for their next challenging role within a secure and stable company.

Role Description
  • Stay hands‑on with the machinery – spotting potential faults, investigating issues and problem solving to prevent downtime.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with Food Safety, Quality, and Health & Safety standards.
  • Run the line according to standard operating procedures, which include start‑up and changeovers.
  • Lead a line with machine operators, training and driving performance.
  • Liaise with development teams for improvements on standards to drive continuous improvement, supporting refining processes to boost productivity.
  • Take ownership of the production line’s performance, ensuring it runs efficiently and is complete control.
Skills and Qualifications
  • An individual with a strong technical mindset, who enjoys working with machinery.
  • A flexible team player with plenty of ideas and enthusiasm who thrives under pressure.
  • Technically competent to solve problems, taking action to ensure delivery, gaining support to ensure delivery.
  • Someone excited by learning new techniques & technology, with a drive for continuous improvements and lean manufacturing.
  • An effective communicator who listens and gives clear instructions, someone who isn't afraid of challenge, gaining support when from experts when needed.
  • Ideally experienced within the food or processing industry – although not essential.
