Are you an Engineer looking for your first role into the industry? Do you have experience in Chemical Engineering?

Reed Engineering is working with a fantastic high tech Research and Development/Manufacturing company who is based in Milton Park, Didcot.

The role is producing a niche material for specialist use alongside maintenance of the production equipment.

Location: Milton Park

Hourly Rate: £12.48/hr + Shift Allowance of £14.98/hr for Night Shifts

Shift Pattern: 07:00hrs- 19:00hrs& 19:00hrs– 07:00hrs- working on a 4-on / 4-off basis (2-week Rota)

Contract: Initial 6months contract with a view to then going Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Development: Work with various gases, including hazardous ones, following safe working procedures and instructions.
  • Operational Support: Assist with day-to-day activities such as weighing powders, loading machines, and reactors. Note that you will not be operating the process; the shift lead will control the software.
  • Safety Compliance: Wear PPE and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Manual Tasks: Perform physically demanding tasks, ensuring you are physically capable.
  • Data Management: Accurately record and sign off on data, including moisture and temperature readings.
