  • Reports to: Production Manager
  • Salary: £30,225 p/a (£15.50 per hour)
  • Hours: 6am – 2pm, 37.5 hour working week
  • Term: 12-week temporary to permanent role
  • Pay: Weekly

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee the shop floor manufacturing of our products. In this role, you will manage, guide, and support our line teams to ensure smooth, efficient, and high‑quality production in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Key responsibilities / duties:
  • Direct and manage Line Leaders and General Assembly Line workers to ensure tasks are completed in line with SOPs.
  • Communicate job expectations, plan, monitor, and appraise job results; coach, discipline, and develop employees while coordinating and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead, coordinate, and sign‑off line setup and paperwork efficiently on a daily basis.
  • Identify production line issues quickly and resolve them to meet deadlines without compromising quality, working closely with Operational Staff, Line Leaders/Setters, Technical, and Engineering teams.
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; develop personal growth opportunities.
  • Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process, setting processing variables, observing control points and equipment.
  • Monitoring personnel and resources, studying methods, implementing cost reductions.
  • Developing reporting procedures and systems, facilitating corrections to malfunctions, and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Schedule and assign personnel, confirm with the Production Manager, establish priorities, monitor progress, revise schedules, resolve problems, and report results of processing flow in shift production summaries.
  • Arrange temporary labour in coordination with aligned agencies and plan staff for daily production needs.
  • Ensure lines provide accurate manufacturing information by compiling daily production performance records and data for business analysis.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on equipment, control points, and resources; ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Assist in resolving production problems by investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending actions as part of a team.
  • Enforce company regulations, ensuring all team members follow policies and health & safety requirements to maintain compliance.
