Job summary

A leading operational firm in Craigavon is seeking a Shift Manager to oversee team performance and operational efficiency. Shift Manager - Operations Leadership Role

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 4pm-12am

The Role

A well-established organisation is seeking a Shift Manager to lead operational activity during their allocated shift. The role focuses on achieving performance targets, maintaining high standards across the operation, and developing the team while ensuring consistent output and compliance. You will also provide occasional cover for other leaders within the department when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate your shift team to achieve key performance targets
  • Oversee performance metrics including output, labour utilisation, operational efficiency, and service delivery
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure all processes and products meet required specifications and internal standards
  • Manage and develop team leaders and operational staff, ensuring training and development records are maintained
  • Carry out shift handovers, review performance variances, and take action to drive improvements
  • Support wider organisational objectives, such as waste reduction or efficiency initiatives
What We're Looking For
Essential:
  • Proven management experience within a fast-paced operational or manufacturing environment
  • Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, performance management, and developing teams
  • Ability to work consistently with compliance, standards, and operational processes
  • Experience delivering improvements or supporting change initiatives
  • Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills
  • GCSE-level (or equivalent) Maths and English
Desirable:
  • Experience in a high-volume or regulated environment
  • Qualifications related to safety, compliance, or operational leadership
  • Demonstrable track record of driving positive change and continuous improvement
  • Higher-level qualification or leadership training
