Job Summary

The Production Scheduler is responsible for identifying capturing planning and managing all key activities related to project management design manufacturing and installation of Solos products and services. This role supports the companys overall objectives by ensuring operational activities are planned efficiently and meet contract timelines.

The scheduler will proactively identify potential resource conflicts and collaborate with the Engineering Manager / Site Leader Buyer and Project Engineers to optimize workflow and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Main Responsibilities
Planning & Scheduling
  • Develop production plans and schedules to meet monthly customer requirements and requested delivery dates.
  • Align production plans with the monthly sales forecast and highlight risks that may impact completion.
  • Schedule production by area to meet demand sequences.
  • Optimize the planning system to effectively manage work and resource calendars.
  • Level-load production to minimize overtime requirements.
Coordination & Communication
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Buyers to align material and sub-assembly planning based on consumption and demand.
  • Maintain daily communication with Production Team Leaders to monitor execution of the production plan.
  • Provide draft project plans for sales opportunities (quotes) in relation to current project commitments.
Monitoring & Reporting
  • Review and update planning data in the ERP system.
  • Provide daily support to the Engineering Manager / Site Leader Buyer and Project Managers through ERP reviews material availability checks and progress tracking.
  • Manage weekly submission of timesheet data for Engineering and Assembly teams
  • Support internal key performance indicators including Delivery On Time In Full (OTIF) and Inventory levels as a percentage of sales.
  • Communicate planning effectiveness to management and recommend corrective / preventive actions.
Compliance and Continuous Improvement
  • Adhere to company QEMS and Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within planning and operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager & Site Leader.
