Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Production Planner in Leicestershire. The ideal candidate will have FMCG manufacturing experience, a strong ability to interpret data, and excellent communication skills. Looking for your next planning role? In this FMCG business you'll need to be agile and accurate with data, experienced in manufacturing settings, and confident in communicating and updating the plan in this close knit FMCG business.

A background in FMCG manufacturing is essential for this role. Site based 5 days a week.

The Production Planner will be responsible for:

  • Creating the production plan to maximise efficiency and labour productivity
  • Continuously updating factory status against the production plan
  • Managing stock levels and maintaining consistently accurate inventory data
  • Processing all customer orders and adjusting forecasts when necessary
  • Scheduling around hygiene and engineering works
  • Monitoring trends and customer order patterns
  • Acting as the main point of contact across departments
  • Ensuring all data is regularly updated and backed up

What you'll need to apply:

  • Previous experience in planning in fast paced environments - food, FMCG, logistics, automotive, chemical manufacturing.
  • A strong ability to work with and interpret data.
  • Experience with planning software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A good understanding of manufacturing processes and operating to deadlines.
  • Accurate - high degree of attention to detail.
